double dress

Remember that really amazing thrifting trip I keep referencing from a few weeks back? This lace slip was a magical acquisition from that day. It's rather large on me, though, which is why I crossed the straps - front and back. Otherwise, the neck fell in a really strange way! The man that owns the store tried to tell me it was too big for me, which was slightly awkward (it is technically lingerie, after all), but I assured him that I knew and still wanted it. Haha

And I promise I'll stop talking about it, but this weather has made me so confused... it's been freezing the last few days! I actually wore a coat.

Anyway, party on, people. Follow me on twitter! (:

wearing: sparkle & fade dress, thrifted lace slip, american apparel thigh highs, thrifted loafers, gap cardigan

I love this idea! Why have I never thought of this? And why have I never criss-crossed too-long straps? I have learned so much from this post...

I love how creative you were with this slip! And that definitely sounds awkward with the guy in the store.

I love the straps on that dress!! They're so unique and cute :) How many thrifting trips do you go on to find such wonderful things?! I can't seem to find good things very often and I can hardly find the time to go thrifting these days :(

this is such an awesome idea! i would have never thought to layer it over another dress. i guess i'll have to be on the hunt for a lace slip now. hopefully i won't have to encounter an awkward salesman, haha :)
