sorry for punk rockin'

Although one would assume that having a grown up job would make my personal style slowly become more mature, it appears the opposite effect is actually occurring. As much as I've come to love dressing business casual and being a professional (seriously, I do), what's happening is that during my free time - on the weekends, in the evenings, etc. - I'm finding myself wanting to dress as rebellious and unconventional as absolutely possible. It's not really something I'm trying to do, but, I mean... come on. When I'm not at work, I can where what.ev.er. I want. No rules. So naturally, my Nikes, my high-waisted+stirrup+floral leggings, and the flower wreath Jazzy made for me are out to play.

Aside from work, which is incredibly awesome, life in general been great recently. I've been living with my boyfriend of {almost} three years for two and a half months now, and we're really happy in our new place! Christian's in law school, so he just got through his first set of mid-terms and is doing just splendidly. There's also this health initiative going on at my office, so I've been making more of an effort to eat healthy; thus, we are cooking more healthy. Love ittttt.

I also have to throw in that I saw The Perks of Being a Wallflower last night, which just happens to be my favorite book of all time. Legit. I was actually kinda worried about Emma Watson playing Sam, because it's a very different character for her. She pulled it off so well, though, and was completely believable and wonderful. Patrick and Charlie acted and looked EXACTLY what I imagined in the book; I couldn't believe it. I guess that's what happens when an amazing author writes the screenplay and directs the movie for his book. Thanks, Stephen Chbosky, for making my life better TIMES TWO. That's all. Lots of talk today.
